Well well is Usain Bolt beatable at the Olympics … well it looks like he might be because Yohan Blake has just beaten in the 100 metres and 200 metres at the Jamaican Olympic trials in the space of 48 hours!

Blake won the 100 metres in a time of 9.75 seconds – the world record held by Bolt is 9.58.  Apparently Jamaica was in a state of shock!  However Blake is the world champion at 100 metres so I don’t know why it was such a surprise for them.  Officially it makes his run the fourth fastest of all time.

He then followed that up with a 200 metre run in 19.80 seconds with Bolt .03 seconds behind.

Blake is Usain Bolt’s training partner which makes it all even more interesting!!!

The 100 metres final takes place on 4 August – Saturday evening – and the 200 metres final on 8August – Wednesday evening.   These two events are going to be awesome!
