Jorge Lorenzo
At the Italian MotoGP, Jorge Lorenzo won again and now sits well ahead of the others at the top of the MotoGP standings:
Jorge Lorenzo: 185 points
Dani Pedrosa: 166 points
Casey Stoner: 148 points
Andrea Dovizioso: 108 points
Cal Crutchlow: 95 points

Lorenzo, who rides for Yamaha, thanked his “lucky helmet”.
I confess to not knowing a lot about MotoGP so I decided, after reading about Lorenzo, to list some of his injuries!!!
1 May 2008 – thrown from his bike in practice during a practice in China. Chipped bone and snapped ankle ligament in his left ankle and fractured bone in his right. He finished the race in 4th ……
20 July 2008 – since 1 May he had a few more crashes and on 20 July he had his 7th crash in 3 months where he hurt his right foot/ankle and broke bones in his left foot. Accidents however don’t appear to stop him racing …
2009 – broken bone in right foot, contusions in both ankles and damage to collarbone …
2010 – he nearly lost his hand in Australia!
The thing is though he carries on riding with injuries like this and worse. The men who ride these bikes are insane!!
